Today we had our 21 week ultrasound and everything looked really good. The baby weighs 12oz, the heart rate was 148 and it was moving around like crazy. The entire ultrasound lasted about an hour and we didn't even get all the measurements that we needed. Our baby has all of it's limbs, fingers and toes. We did find out the gender of the baby, but we are going to keep it a secret as long as we can (Andrew's already busting at the seams!). Right now, the baby is breech so the ultrasound tech was not able to get all the measurement she needed to, so our Doctor wants me to get a High Risk Ultrasound in 2 weeks. Hopefully by then the baby will have flipped around and we can get a good look at what we need to. Other than that everything else was fine. Our next OB appointment is on our Anniversary, June 19th.

I'm Back in Black...............

I had an awesome time in FL with my parents. It was great to see them, catch up and see what they have done to the house since they are permanent residents. Of course my visit was too short, but they will be up here in about a week.

While I was gone Andrew was very busy working on the house. Here's what's going on:
-The kitchen cabinets have been completely installed, as well as most of the appliances.
-The only appliance that is not at the house yet is the double oven and that's because it's really heavy and Andrew and I can't lift it together.
-The railing for the stairs was installed along with all the interior doors and cabinets for the bathrooms.
-Andrew has been steadily hanging light fixtures in the bathrooms, dining room and kitchen. They all look very nice and I'm pleased with what we picked out.
-We picked out 3 hanging lights to go over the island in the kitchen and they look amazing! However, right now there are only two installed and I think we are going to return the third one, because we really don't need it.
-Andrew installed and grouted tile in the master bath, 2nd bath and laundry room.
-We had all the cabinets measured for counter tops last week and they should be ready to be installed by the end of this week. We chose quarts (looks like granite) for the kitchen and butler's nook and Corion for the laundry room and bathrooms.
-The cabinets for the butler's nook arrived but there should have been two and only one was shipped. The 2nd cabinet should be here today or tomorrow.
-Andrew surprised me by having the fireplace completed when I arrived home. The stone work looks amazing (as you can see in the picture)and we are both very happy we chose the larger fire box.
-Andrew installed the first of three of the garage door openers. It's very quiet and nice to not have to worry about keys anymore.
-Yesterday I started working on filling nail holes in the trim around the house. It's very tedious, but coming along. We are planning on painting this weekend so everything needs to be prepped and ready to go

I think I've covered all the new stuff we(Andrew)have completed recently. Tomorrow we have our ultrasound for the baby and we get to find out its gender (hopefully!) I'll post those pictures once I get them scanned.

Yup, that's right, I'm getting out of dodge, at least for a little bit. I'm headed down to Florida to see my parental units for 5 days. Needless to say, I won't be posting anything until I return, so here are some new pics to tide you over.

A Big Weekend

This week has been very busy. The house is completely painted on the inside. The hardwood floors have been delivered, the water heater was delivered. Siding installation is supposed to be started either today or tomorrow (I'm hoping for today). Andrew started putting in the tile in the laundry room floor. The cabinets for the house were delivered. Andrew ordered the bathroom fixtures (ie: towel bars, toilet paper holders, etc) We have a few more bathroom fixtures to order, but that should be done as soon as Andrew gets the pricing from the suppliers. So where does the big weekend fit in you ask, well now that all of this stuff has been completed and delivered Andrew can start working his magic again. This weekend he is installing the hardwood floors. Hopefully everything will go as planned.

Over the weekend Andrew and I stopped into a furniture store that we had been looking at and they were having a pretty good sale. We had decided some time ago that we wanted a sectional couch for the family room and we had picked out a living room set earlier at this store too. Needless to say we went in and took a look around and fell in love with a dining room set that was on clearance. We had also decided that the sectional at this store was what we wanted too. I had given up my dreams of the $4000.00 sectional from Crate and Barrel :( So in a matter of minutes we had most of our furniture picked out. After some deliberation we decided the living room furniture we originally liked wouldn't really go with the dining room furniture. The living room stuff was too contemporary. So we started over and immediately found a couch and chair we liked. The dining room set included chairs, table and china hutch and I wanted to order the matching server. We begged off to go home and do some measuring to make sure everything would fit and to think over this massive purchase. Once home we got out the tape measure and found out that the dining room server would not fit into the niche we have in the dining room. Alright, back to the drawing board. We both decided to 86 the server and put in the niche a butler's pantry like thing with cabinets and a counter top. Problem solved! The next day we went back and purchased the dining room set, living room set and family room couch. Hurray! Now we have some furniture for this house!

The drywall installation has been completed. The interior walls are being painted tomorrow and our hardwood flooring is being delivered tomorrow as well. The septic system has been completely installed. I believe Andrew told me the siding will be installed at the end of this week or next. I can't remember. We are moving right along!
