Kisses from the Jail

Update

We recently noticed that our cat Frankie has started to get clumps in his fur. So we took him to the vet thinking he had another UTI. Of course he did have one and they put him on antibiotics but he didn't seem to bounce back like has before. So I took him again the other day for another visit. The good news is that the infection appears to be gone but he still has red blood cells in his urine so there is something else going on. The vet thinks it might be an inflamed bladder. So he put him on kitty anti-depressents. We're hoping this helps and that Frankie gets to feeling better soon.

I also got my hair chopped off. I had been growing my hair out for about a year or so and this time when I went to the hair dressers I told her to get rid of it. I like it short and now I can style it. It has taken some getting used to and I'm trying to figure out the quickest way to style it in the mornings.

Helping Daddy

Emma is Daddy's little helper. She has really started to try to help us when we are doing something. The other day it was beautiful outside so Andrew decided to clean out the garage. Emma couldn't spend a minute away from Daddy so he gave her a brush and put her to work!

Family Visit

Over the last two weeks Andrew's extended family has been in town to visit for his Grandpa's 90th bday. Over those two weeks we've had 8 people staying with us at various times. It was really nice to see family that live so far away and to be able to catch up with each other's lives.

There was also round #3 that I didn't get pictures from. Andrew's cousin Becca and her son Luke also came in for the weekend. I haven't seen Luke in quite some time and he has really grown! He's such a polite and well behaved kid!

Purses and Potties

Not that these two things have anything in common, but oh well.

We are still working with Emma on potty training. She does good with it on most days, and then other days not so good. She's still not staying dry through her naps so I'm not too concerned with our progress. She does love to go potty when we are out and about though, so that's a good thing. At least I don't have to worry about her being shy.

Emma is the girliest-girl. She loves everything girly. I'm not quite sure where she gets it from since I'm not like that, but it sure is cute. The other day I was getting ready for work and she saw one of my old purses on the shelf so I got it down for her. She was so cute with in hanging off her arm standing at the garage door ready to leave the house.

Fun with Paytee

My parents were in town last week for Payton's birthday and on Monday they brought him over to play and to visit. Emma and Payton are really starting to play with each other. He's such a good playmate and they always seems to have fun together. On this day Payton was having so much fun pushing Emma around the kitchen on her car and Emma was loving it too!

V-day

Ok I know it's March, but here's what we did for Valentine's Day

We decided we wanted to do something as a family this year since Andrew and I had been out a few times recently just the two of us. We decided to take Emma to the DuPage Children's Museum. None of us had ever been there before and it was pretty busy but we had a great time. I think Emma was in the right between age. There were a few areas for kids younger than her and then most of the other stuff was for kids older than her. Next year she will be really into it though. One of her favorite spots was the black light glow sticks. We spent a lot of time at that display. We didn't get to the water stuff until the end of the day and by then Emma was WAY over stimulated, so she didn't want to have anything to do with that stuff. We ended the night at one of our favorite restaurants and the first place we went on a date, Mongolian BBQ. It was delicious!
