Today we went with Graham, Kristy and Payton to Phillips Park in Aurora for their Fall Kids Day. Phillips park is beautiful and they had lots of things for kids to do like a petting zoo, blow up bouncy things, face painting, etc. It was nice to get out of the house on a gorgeous fall day and Emma had her first outing in the carrier. She did very well, and Daddy seemed to like it too.

Last Friday, Emma had her 2 week doctor appointment and everything went very well. At 2 weeks the doctor expected Emma to be back at her birth weight, which she was and then some. My healthy eater was 3 ozs over her birth weight; weighing in at a hefty 5lbs 4oz! All is still well here on the homefront. The sleeping, eating and pooping is all going well!

Things are going very well here with Emma. She's a great sleeper, eater and pooper, so I really can't complain. She does get up about 3 times during the night to eat, but she goes right back to sleep afterwards. Both Frankie and I have infections, he has a urinary tract infection and I have a bladder infection. Ick! But we are both on the road to recovery with our antibiotics.

Well after 72 hours in the hospital we finally got to bring our little bundle of joy home with us last night at 7:30. The even better news is that we managed to get through the night and did not break her. Frank is still trying to figure out what is going on and is very curious about the little cry every couple hours at feeding time, but he seems to be warming up very well.

Emma Grace made her entrance into this world tonight at 7:22 pm weighing in at 5 pounds 1 ounce, and a length of 17 1/2". More to come shortly.

It's 5:25 pm on Thursday September 6th, 2007 and we are at the hospital to be induced. At 1pm today we had an appointment with the high risk doctor to determine when I should be induced. We had a pretty good feeling that he was going to say Friday, after my last regular OB appointment on Tuesday. When the nurse checked my blood pressure today it was 140/96, which is pretty high. The high risk doctor said that with the combined BP issue and the baby being on the small side, that we should go ahead and send me to the hospital today and begin the induction process. Needless to say Andrew and I were expecting tomorrow but not today, so we are a lotta bit surprised! We went home, got our stuff packed and did a few last minute things around the house. Then went for our last dinner out as a twosome at.....Taco Bell. Classy, I know. So far, I've just been hooked up to the monitors and that's about it. The nurse just came in, but they are getting ready to do shift change at 6:30 so we will have a different nurse for the rest of the night. We'll keep you posted.
