"Hot-Lanta" 2010 - Memorial Day Weekend 2010

We went down to Acworth, Georgia to visit Andrew's Sister and her family again this year for Memorial Day weekend.  Andrew's cousin Becca and her son Luke also met us there for the first time this year.  We decided to drive this year instead of flying since Emma isn't free anymore.  The drive is roughly 12 hours (with stops and everything) and it went really well.  The weather was pretty good this year with just some scattered thunderstorms, but the temperature was very pleasant.  The first night we got in Jake (Sarah's youngest) graduated from Pre-School.  They had a very nice presentation and award ceremony.  The next day we hit the lake for a day of swimming, tubing and wake boarding.  The rest of the weekend we hung out watched a few of Tyler's baseball games (he had a tournament that weekend) and went to their neighborhood pool several times.  Of course we also visited our favorite restaurants there, Moe's, La Parrilla and Zaxby's.  Dan and Sarah outdid themselves again this year entertaining and hosting us at their house!

Good Friends, Good Time

Our good friends Joe, Jill and their 1 year old son, Luke, came over for dinner last Saturday.  We decided to have them spend the night this time since they live about an hour away and that way everyone could drink and have a relaxing time.  We all went for a walk around the neighborhood when they first got here.  Emma had lots of fun showing off her house and toys to "Baby Luke" and pulling him around in the wagon.  After the kids ate dinner and went to bed we started our pork roast on the grill and enjoyed great conversation.  Dinner was fabulous, Andrew out did himself with the pork and Jill made an amazing salad (she ALWAYS does).  We finally hit the hay about 2am, but it was well worth it.  We are truly blessed to have such great friends in our lives.
