Ok, so my SIL has been giving me crap that I haven't been updating the blog site. I must admit that I can't believe how fast the time goes by between posts. I swear that just yesterday I posted and look now it's already March. Thank God by the way!
We have been very busy, unfortunetely no new pictures but I will give a written update. Andrew is working diligently on the house almost every night. In fact I think tonight is the first night in about a month or so he hasn't been out to the house to work on it. The HVAC stuff is almost completed, the basement floor was poured last Wednesday. My first reaction when I walked down into the basement was that the ceiling felt shorter. Andrew's response was that the cement was only 3 inches thick, maybe I'm very observant or just being weird. Anywho, now that the floor is poured the furnace can finally be installed, considering that we have had them for the last week and a half. Also since the floor is poured Andrew built the basement stairs, which look very nice I must say and much more convienant than climbing up and down the ladder. While the cement guy was at the houes he told Andrew that we can put in the garage doors. This was news to him, he thought they couldn't put in the doors until the garage floor was poured. So needless to say it sounds like we are getting garage doors sometime in the very near future. It will be nice to get them in since the make-shift "doors" we have now are just plywood and they let in a lot of COLD.
Andrew also worked on the flashing around the windows so they don't leak when it rains. He has the whole first floor done and is waiting until we get another warm spell to work on the upstairs windows.
We also went around the house and picked out where we wanted to put all our light switches, outlets and overhead light fixtures. So now Andrew has been busy wiring the outlets and switches, and pretty much has the first floor done minus the living room and laundry room. Which according to him will take no time at all, however in human time that means a half day or so.
I asked Andrew the other night when he thought we would be able to start insulating and he said about 3 weeks, so that is pretty exciting. I can't wait until they start to dry wall and it really looks like a house and not a skeleton.
That's all for now.....

So glad your SIL shamed you into updating! These damn blogs are like having a child you can't leave unattended without someone calling you on it. Happy to hear someone in your family isn't a slack ass so the house will get done. This building project is another full time job and it
sounds like you both need a vacation. Did I mention it is 70 today???
WOW! The progress on your home continues to be inspiring. We were just there and already you are light years ahead of what we saw.
I'm not posting progress on my closet project. Sailing has recently gotten in the way of any movement ahead.
Love Dad
Better quit slacking on this house!
We heard through the grapevine (G,K & P)that there will be another bedroom accounted for in the not so distant future...
Congratulations!!
Heather & Roger
