Squirrel Nest

Emma has been sick for the last week. She's had a fever and over the last few days it has turned into a cough and finally yesterday it just got the best of her and she spent pretty much the whole day in bed. The result of spending a day in bed was a squirrel's nest in her hair. Normally I would just call it a rat's nest, but a rat couldn't make something this big.

It really didn't take as long as I thought it would to brush it all out. And thankfully she's nothing like I was as a child, so she just sat there and watched Sesame Street. I do think she said ouch once but there was no screaming or crying like I remember from my childhood.

I still feel bad for my mom.
