I was able to take Emma's birthday off last minute, which was really nice. The two of us hung out during the day and kept it pretty low key. We were going to go out to lunch with Daddy, but since I was going to be home that night we decided to go out for dinner instead. We let Emma choose where she wanted to go and she said Red Robin...sweet! But before we left she got to open her birthday presents from us.

Yep, we finally broke down and bought Emma her own copy of The Polar Express DVD and book. If you have ever seen her watch it or reenact the ENTIRE movie, you would understand how much this kid likes Polar Express. She's had the whole movie down and didn't even own the thing!
At Red Robin, we had very nice dinner and Emma ate a ton of food! They also had the "Robin" there while we were eating and Emma was having a great time playing hide and seek with it. Although she was not so thrilled about it when it came over to our table. After dinner they sang Happy Birthday to her and she got to eat a hot fudge sundae all by herself!

Then we headed back to our house for cupcakes and to sing Happy Birthday AGAIN!

She is a chip off the old mother's block! Alyssa watched the Big Bird movie at Brian Plato's house so often they thought she'd moved in with them! Of course she knew every word of dialog, too!
