Yikes!!! But the power had been turned off so we didn't think too much of it. 45 minutes later when everyone else showed up and the temperature was only down to 92 we called the property manager and he told us we had turned the air down too low and that it had to be at 76 or it would trip the circuit breaker. Ok we'll play your game Mr. Property Manager, so we set the temp and headed out for lunch. We got back from lunch about an hour or so later and the temperature is right back up to 94 and the breaker is tripped again! We call the guy back and he says to turn it up to 78. We give it one last try and an hour later the lowest it got was 90 and it was headed right back up to 94! Oh, Mr. Property Manager?! His solution...go home. Really? I mean really? Now that's just a stupid thing to say. So it's 4pm on Saturday afternoon and Dad and I head out to find a new place to stay for the week. We ended up finding great accommodations at The Kimberling Inn. We were able to snag a 2 bedroom condo for the 2 families and a motel room for Mom and Dad. PERFECT! (except for the minor curry odor issue that was easily fixed with a LARGE bottle of Febreze). This place actually ended up working out better since we were able to rent a boat slip for the whole week and didn't have to take the boat in and out of the water or drive to a marina. Oh and the other bonus....the bacon place was right across the street. VERY dangerous when you have 7 bacon lovers staying in one room.

After the first day the rest of the week sailed and we had a great time tooling around the lake, swimming (lots of swimming) and dragging me (and the boys) around the lake on the wake board. No, I still haven't gotten up, yes, I know, it's been 2 years. But I will conquer it one of these days (or so I hope).
